Short bio
I hold a permanent position at Scientific Computing Program PROCC, Fiocruz, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
since December 2012. I hold a productivity fellowship from CNPq (bolsa
de produtividade) and a Our State Young Cientist fellowship from FAPERJ
(Jovem cientista Nosso Estado). I consider myself an applied Bayesian
(bio)statistician. I am an elected member of ISI and a registered statistician at
the Brazilian Statistical Council CONRE2. I spent some time
(2019-2020) in London working on infectious disease modelling at the CMMID/LSHTM, UK. My main research
interests are on developing Bayesian statistical solutions/models to
applied real problems, usually research questions related to infectious
diseases epidemiology.
