Short bio

I hold permanent position at Scientific Computing Program PROCC, Fiocruz, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I am a research fellow at CNPq (bolsista de produtividade) and FAPERJ (Jovem cientista Nosso Estado). I consider myself an applied Bayesian (bio)statistician focused on Infectious Disease (Statistical) Modelling. I am an ellected member of ISI and a registered statistician at the Brazilian Statistical Council CONRE2. I spent some time (2019-2020) in London working on infectious disease modelling at the CMMID/LSHTM, UK. My main research interests are on developing Bayesian statistical solutions/models to applied real problems, usually research questions related to infectious diseases epidemiology.
